ADVANCED SHOOTER

PACK OVERVIEW

Advanced Shooter v1.1.2 2019.08.14.

The Advanced Shooter pack is a new addition to the Mod Pass subscription service that allows experienced users to go beyond the functionality of the built-in FPS mods and it can serve as a replacement for those that feel comfortable with it.

This pack is a tool for experimentation at the user end in MOST First Person Shooters, Third Person Shooters or other genres with similar features.

While this pack has broad compatibility, our support team cannot provide “best” settings for individual games.  Optimized settings and game-specific mods can be found in dedicated Gamepacks.

Advanced Shooter Features:

  • By utilizing an individual button matching system instead of preset button layouts, this pack supports a broad range of games and control schemes.

  • ADVANCED PROFILE SYSTEM, the heart of this pack bundles your Weapon Fire, Additional Mods and Anti-Recoil together in a neat package of 3 profiles that you can manually or automatically switch between on the fly.

  • Additional Mods include an enormous amount of popular mods that work across several games, spanning a simple CROUCH AIM to an adjustable ADS AIM ASSIST(+).

  • Paddle Mod alternatives for almost everything and an evolution of one of our first Mod Pass mods, SPRING LOADED SIDEARM, which is now tied into the Advanced Profile System.

Experience these mods and much more!

PACK OVERVIEW
PACK ACTIVATION

The Advanced Shooter pack can be setup in Mod Central to occupy the F slot replacing the built-in FPS Mod Mode (Modpack), or it can occupy a Gamepack slot (Gamepack).

  • IF the pack is in the F Slot (Mod Mode), HOLD the top LEFT SELECT / PADDLE Button and PRESS the top RIGHT SELECT / PADDLE Button at the same time to SWITCH to MOD MODE.

    • The GEAR HEAD EYES will be a SOLID COLOUR.

      • Your device will use its 8 LEDs to visually track the Advanced Profile System and to indicate which Paddle Mods are currently active.

  • IF the pack is in a Gamepack Slot, HOLD the top LEFT SELECT / PADDLE Button to navigate using EITHER PADDLE to CYCLE through the 8 GAMEPACK MODE SLOTS, represented by LEDs 1-8.

    • The GEAR HEAD EYES will be FLASHING back and forth.

      • Your device will ONLY display the current GAMEPACK SLOT LED.

PACK ACTIVATION
MASTER CONTROLS
MASTER CONTROLS

The Quick Controls & Toggles in this pack require aiming down sights.  If your game lacks aiming down sights, just hold the button that aim down sights is set to in Mod Central.

MOD TOGGLE is the quickest way to suspend ALL MODS except Paddle Mods.  This is helpful to keep mods designed for one gameplay function from interfering with another, especially in shooters where you may be getting into vehicles, dealing with hub worlds and stores or interacting with the in-game menu or your console's store.

  • WHILE AIMING DOWN SIGHTS (default L2 / LT), PRESS in TOUCHPAD / VIEW to SUSPEND / RESUME All Mods except Paddle Mods (Suspended: Heavy Rumble / Resumed: Light Rumble).  If this is your Map Button, simply stop aiming down sights to access it.

GLOBAL MODS / AUTO RUN TOGGLE suspends the Global Mods (Bunny Hop, Turbo Melee, Hair Triggers) and Auto Run.

  • WHILE AIMING DOWN SIGHTS, HOLD DOWN D-PAD & R3 / RS to SUSPEND / RESUME the Global Mods / Auto Run (Suspended: Heavy Rumble / Resumed: Light Rumble).

MASTER QUICK CONTROL suspends the entire pack.

  • HOLD TOUCHPAD / VIEW & CROSS / A together for 1 second to SUSPEND / RESUME the entire pack (Suspended: Heavy Rumble / Resumed: Light Rumble).

PACK SETUP
PACK SETUP

To configure this pack correctly so that mods are placed on the correct buttons, MATCH the required settings in Mod Central, marked MATCH IN-GAME, to your current in-game settings.

  • There is no need to worry about settings for gameplay functions if they are unsupported in your game.  No aiming down sights?  No hold breath?  No sprinting?  No ping?  No problem.

  • When MATCHING your game’s ADS & FIRE Buttons in Mod Central, if your game lacks built-in options to change these buttons around, you can have the pack swap them around using a Physical Swap option.

GLOBAL MODS
GLOBAL MODS

The following Global Mods, Auto Run and purple settings can ONLY be setup in Mod Central:

  • WARNING:  Bunny Hop or Turbo Melee will interfere if games require you to hold the corresponding button.  Suspend via the Master Controls or use Paddle Mod alternatives.

  • Bunny Hop allows you to HOLD JUMP to repeatedly jump at a sensible pace.  This is a general timing that may NOT be ideal for all games.  You can still TAP JUMP normally.

  • Turbo Melee allows you to HOLD MELEE to repeatedly melee as quickly as possible.  This is a fast timing that should work well for most games.  You can still TAP MELEE normally.

  • Hair Triggers causes L2 / LT / R2 / RT to be treated by your game as if they have been fully pressed down the moment they are registered as being pressed.  This can save precious milliseconds of reaction time and it has NO effect on mods.

AUTO RUN

Auto Run activates the Sprint / Run Button while the MOVEMENT ANALOG STICK is moved FORWARD.

Different modes are provided.  Experiment to find one that is compatible with your game.  However, “Max Forward Movement - Holds Sprint” is supported in most games:

  • "Max" means FULLY MOVE STICK to the EDGE to Auto Run.

    • Higher compatibility.  Allows for jogging or walking.

  • "Forward" means MOVE STICK FORWARD to Auto Run.

    • For most games that only allow sprinting while moving forward.

  • "Any" means MOVE STICK ANY DIRECTION to Auto Run.

    • For games that allow sprinting at an angle or in any direction.

  • "Holds", "Toggles" and "Spams" determine how Auto Run will press sprint / run for you.

    • "Holds" has higher compatibility.  If you experience gameplay issues that none of the available "Holds" options can resolve, try "Toggles" or "Spams".

  • If your game has a “Sprint Cancels Reload” setting, please turn it OFF.

    • If Auto Run is still cancelling your reload, increase the seconds of delay until it no longer does this.

      • IMPORTANT:  Your Reload Button MUST be SQUARE / X to use the adjustable delay.

AUTO RUN
WEAPON FIRE ACTIVATION
ANTI-RECOIL MODE
PROFILE SWITCH MODE
WEAPON FIRE ACTIVATION

Weapon Fire Activation provides you with more control over when Weapon Fire Mods such as Rapid Fire will be activated based on the pressure applied to the FIRE TRIGGER.

  • IMPORTANT:  Your Fire Button MUST be either L2 / LT / R2 / RT for this setting to take effect.

  • "Always Activated" means HOLD FIRE TRIGGER to activate Weapon Mods.

  • "Fully Hold Activation" means FULLY HOLD FIRE TRIGGER to activate Weapon Mods.

    • Dynamic Fire is incompatible with Fully Hold Activation.

  • "Fully Hold Blocked" means FULLY HOLD FIRE TRIGGER to block Weapon Mods.

    • Dynamic Fire achieves full fire rate with fully automatic weapons via Fully Hold Blocked.

ANTI-RECOIL MODE

Anti-Recoil Mode determines which form of Anti-Recoil will be applied to the Advanced Profile System.  We recommend using “Quick Edit” in almost all cases unless it is getting in the way of your game’s controls...  or you are using “Physical Swap” which is incompatible with Quick Edit.

  • There is also a "Hip Fire" option for games that lack an aim down sights mechanic and support for in-game "Inverted" camera controls.

  • See the Advanced Profile System section to adjust Anti-Recoil with Quick Edit.

  • See the Menu Navigation & Adjustables section to adjust Anti-Recoil in the Menu.

PROFILE SWITCH MODE

Profile Switch Mode determines how you will select profiles with the Advanced Profile System.

  • "Manual" is compatible with all games but keep note of your profile setup as you will need to select the appropriate profile whenever you switch weapons.  See the Advanced Profile System section for information on selecting profiles during gameplay.

  • "Weapon Swap" attempts to automatically select the correct profile when you switch weapons.  This will desync, on your game’s menu, loading screens and especially on death and respawn.  To RESYNC, switch to your Primary Weapon & select Profile 1 with AIM DOWN SIGHTS & DOWN D-PAD & TRIANGLE / Y.

  • IF the Advancer Shooter pack is in the F slot, it indicates Weapon Swap’s current position with the LED’s on your device.

    • Bright 1&2 = Profile 1.

    • Bright 3&4 = Profile 2.

    • Bright 4&6 = Profile 3.

    • All 6 Dim = Profile Disabled.

    • PS4 will flash Lightbar colours as well, in both F slot or a Gamepack slot.

If you still wish to use Weapon Swap, choose the option that is compatible with your game:

  • “2 Weapon Swap” is for games where you switch between 2 weapons with Triangle / Y.

  • “3 Weapon Swap - Hold Triangle / Y for Weapon 3” is for games similar to Destiny 2.  Swapping back from Profile 3 goes to Profile 1.

    • The alt. version is for games similar to Titanfall 2.  Swapping back from Profile 3 goes to your previously used Profile.

  • “3 Weapon Swap - Double Tap Triangle / Y for Weapon 3” is for games similar to The Division 2.

  • “3 Weapon Swap - Tap Up for Weapon 3” is for games similar to PUBG.

  • “3 Weapon Swap - D-Pad (Left = 1 | Up = 2 | Right = 3)” is for games that switch weapons with the Left, Up and Right D-Pad.

  • “3 Weapon Swap - D-Pad (Left = 1 | Down = 2 | Right = 3)” is for games similar to Gears of War 4; switch weapons with the Left, Down and Right D-Pad.

  • “4 Weapon Swap - D-Pad (Left = 1 | Up = 2 | Right = 3 | Down = 1)” is for games similar to H1Z1.  Down D-Pad will return to Profile 1.

ADVANCED PROFILE SYSTEM
ADVANCED PROFILE SYSTEM

You will need to configure the Advanced Profile System in Mod Central to get started.  The Advanced Profile System is colour coded to the corresponding face buttons of your platform.

  • TRIANGLE / Y  grouping being the Primary Profile 1 (Default).

    • Profile 1 Selection:  WHILE AIMING DOWN SIGHTS & HOLDING DOWN D-PAD, TAP TRIANGLE / Y.

    • Indicator:  1 Heavy Rumble (+ Green Lightbar flash on PS4).

  • CIRCLE / B grouping being the Secondary Profile 2.

    • Profile 2 Selection:  WHILE AIMING DOWN SIGHTS & HOLDING DOWN D-PAD, TAP CIRCLE / B.

    • Indicator:  2 Heavy Rumbles (+ Red Lightbar flash on PS4).

  • CROSS / A grouping being the Third Profile 3.

    • Profile 3 Selection:  WHILE AIMING DOWN SIGHTS & HOLDING DOWN D-PAD, TAP CROSS / A.

    • Indicator:  3 Heavy Rumbles (+ Blue Lightbar flash on PS4).

  • SQUARE / X being Disable Profile (NOT visible from Mod Central).

    • Disable Profile:  WHILE AIMING DOWN SIGHTS & HOLDING DOWN D-PAD, TAP SQUARE / X.

    • Indicator:  1 Light Rumble (+ Purple Lightbar flash on PS4).

  • Class 1, 3 & 5 represent the Weapon Fire Mods for your Primary, Secondary and Third Weapon if applicable.  Please see the Weapon Fire section for more information on individual Weapon Fire Mods.

  • Class 2, 4 & 6 represent the Additional Mods for your Primary, Secondary and Third Weapon if applicable.  Please see the Additional Mods section for more information on individual mods.

  • Class 2, 4 & 6 each have their own Anti-Recoil Profile.  ANTI-RECOIL IS DISABLED AT 0.

  • QUICK EDIT allows you to quickly adjust the Anti-Recoil on the fly.

    • FIRST SELECT A PROFILE THEN...

      • WHILE AIMING DOWN SIGHTS & FIRING...

      • RAPIDLY TAP DOWN D-PAD until the weapon is level.  At this point you can optionally RELEASE FIRE to save ammo.  If the weapon pulls down too far, UP D-PAD will reduce the strength of the Anti-Recoil.

        • Compare recoil patterns on a wall.  Ideally all bullets will appear in one place but a weapon may have randomized or side to side recoil which will prevent a perfect result.

  • WITH "HIP FIRE ANTI-RECOIL MODE" YOU CAN ADJUST WHILE JUST FIRING.

    • NOTE:  Quick Edit is INCOMPATIBLE with “Physical Swap”.  If you are using this, see the Menu Navigation & Adjustables section instead.

WEAPON FIRE
CLASS 1, 3 & 5 – WEAPON FIRE

When Regular Fire is ON, your weapon will fire exactly as it normally does.

When Rapid Fire is ON, HOLD FIRE to fire your semi-automatic weapon at maximum speed.

  • If your game allows it, change your weapon's in-game fire mode to single shot or burst for use with Rapid Fire.

  • You may notice a loss of maximum fire rate with fully automatic weapons.

When Dynamic Fire is ON, the higher the PRESSURE on the FIRE TRIGGER, the faster your weapon rapidly fires.

  • The same points apply as Rapid Fire.

  • For Dynamic Fire, your FIRE MUST be either L2 / LT / R2 / RT.

  • If Enabled, Anti-Recoil ONLY applies while the FIRE TRIGGER is FULLY HELD down.

When Steady Fire is ON, HOLD FIRE to fire your weapon at a steady pace with a delay between shots.

  • This works best with weapons that can deal enough heavy damage on impact that you can afford to fire them more slowly.

  • Depending on your game, this could potentially reduce recoil, bullet spread and conserve ammunition.

When Burst Fire is ON, HOLD FIRE to repeatedly fire your weapon in bursts.

  • This works best with weapons that can deal a lot of damage through rate of fire but quickly and progressively become unwieldy with the recoil.

  • Depending on your game, this could potentially reduce recoil, bullet spread and conserve ammunition.

When Auto Burst Fire is ON, HOLD FIRE to repeatedly fire your fully automatic weapon in bursts.

  • More effective with your fully automatic weapon than Burst Fire, but incompatible with your semi-automatic weapon.

  • The same points otherwise apply as Burst Fire.

When Akimbo Rapid Fire is ON, HOLD FIRE OR BOTH to Rapid Fire both of your dual wield (akimbo) semi-automatic weapons.  HOLD AIM DOWN SIGHTS by itself to Regular Fire both of your dual wield (akimbo) fully automatic weapons.

  • Compatible with Anti-Recoil as it will apply to EITHER ADS OR FIRE BUTTONS.

  • Incompatible with and disables the Cover Fire, Aim Assist or Aim Assist+ mod if it is applied to the same profile.

When Quick Scope on Tap is ON, QUICKLY TAP & RELEASE AIM DOWN SIGHTS to quickly scope in and fire a shot.  HOLD AIM DOWN SIGHTS to simply scope in.

  • Primarily designed for scoped sniper rifles but in some games, Quick Scope can work well with weapons that both become more accurate when you aim in and deal heavy damage on impact such as some shotguns and scopeless rifles.

When Quick Scope on Release is ON, you will always fire a shot when you RELEASE AIM DOWN SIGHTS allowing you to time your own Quick Scope.

  • The same points apply as Quick Scope on Tap.

When Auto Hold Breath is ON, if your game has support for holding your breath while scoping in, it will be automatically handled for you.

ADDITIONAL MOD
CLASS 2, 4 & 6 – ADDITIONAL MOD

When No Additional Mod is ON, there will be no Additional Mod assigned to this profile.

When Crouch Aim is ON, whenever you are FULLY AIMING DOWN SIGHTS, you will crouch.  As you RELEASE AIM DOWN SIGHTS, you will stand.

When Hop Shot is ON, while you are NOT aiming down sights, whenever you are FULLY HOLDING FIRE, you will repeatedly jump at a sensible pace.  This is a general timing that may NOT be ideal for all games.

When Rapid Crouch Fire is ON, whenever you are FULLY HOLDING FIRE, you will rapidly crouch.

When Cover Fire is ON, you will want to be behind cover, then while you are NOT aiming down sights, with MAXIMUM pressure on the FIRE TRIGGER, you will pop up and then fire until you RELEASE the FIRE TRIGGER.  If LESS pressure is on the FIRE TRIGGER, you will repeatedly pop up and fire (if FIRE is NOT a TRIGGER, Cover Fire will always do this).  Note that this mod will NOT work with all Cover Shooters.

When Strafe Fire is ON, whenever you are FULLY HOLDING FIRE, you will quickly strafe side to side.

When Circle Strafe Fire is ON, whenever you are FULLY HOLDING FIRE, you will quickly strafe in a circular motion.

When Drop Shot is ON, while you are NOT aiming down sights, the moment you begin FIRING, you will fully drop down to the ground depending on whether your game has some kind of prone, slide or crouch feature.

When ADS Ping is ON, whenever you AIM DOWN SIGHTS, in games that support it, you will ping / spot / mark your target or an area.

When ADS Auto Ping is ON, whenever you are AIMING DOWN SIGHTS, in games that support it, you will repeatedly ping / spot / mark your target or an area.

When Ping on Fire is ON, whenever you FIRE, in games that support it, you will ping / spot / mark your target or an area.

When Aim Assist is ON, whenever you are FULLY AIMING DOWN SIGHTS, for games that have a built-in aim assist, this mod will actively encourage it to subtly enhance your aim.  Ensure any in-game aim assist, auto aim, snap aim, target assist, sticky aim, etc settings are ON.

  • “Aim Assist Strength” affects how strongly the mod shakes your camera in achieving its goal.  For best performance, it should be slightly shaking it in a barely noticeable fashion.

  • Effectiveness can vary wildly so it is helpful if you have a friend on the enemy team strafing left and right across your crosshairs to see if it works in your game.

  • NOTE:  If you have set "Anti-Recoil Mode" to "Hip Fire", Aim Assist will assume your game lacks an aim down sights mechanic and it will be always active to accommodate this.

When Aim Assist+ is ON, whenever you are FULLY AIMING DOWN SIGHTS, it will function the same as Aim Assist but it will also repeatedly hold and release aim down sights.  This can improve Aim Assist with games that snap to target on aim down sights.

  • Aim Assist+ "Hold” and “Release” time affect the speed at which it aims down sights.

  • NOTE:  Aim Assist+ is incompatible with scoped weapons, such as sniper rifles.

  • Aim Assist+ can be considered the same mod as Aim Abuse in a few games where it is REALLY effective.

  • The same points otherwise apply as Aim Assist.

Steady / Burst Fire Timing.

  • Navigate to either Class 1, 3, 5, 7 or 8 on Mod 4, 5 or 6 to adjust the shared Steady, Burst and Auto Burst Fire setting.

  • L1 / LB will increase the length of each burst for Burst Fire, whereas it will increase the delay between shots for Steady Fire to improve accuracy.

Aim Assist / Aim Assist+.

  • Navigate to Class 7 or 8 on Mod 10 to adjust the shared Aim Assist / Aim Assist+ settings.  Although this is the ONLY place you can adjust it in the pack’s menu, this setting affects all Aim Assist mods on Class 2, 4 and 6 as well.

  • L3 / LS will decrease Aim Assist strength and camera shake.

  • R3 / RS will increase Aim Assist strength and camera shake.

  • You can count the number of RED Lightbar flashes on PS4 or RT rumbles on XB1 to determine whether you are 0-35.  There will be a point where you will see no additional benefit from increased camera shake and your aim may drift.  We recommend setting it so that it is a barely noticeable shake for most games.

  • L1 / LB will decrease Aim Assist+ ADS hold time.

  • R1 / RB will increase Aim Assist+ ADS hold time.

  • L2 / LT will decrease Aim Assist+ ADS release time.

  • RT / RT will increase Aim Assist+ ADS hold time.

  • The test for Aim Assist+ will be always running while navigated to the Paddle Mod so it is helpful to have a friend on the enemy team strafing left and right across your crosshairs.
