IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
BUTTON LAYOUT MODE: The COD: WWII ModPack supports ALL in game button layouts. In the Mod Central configuration for COD: WWII, set the correct button layout, that MATCHES your in game button layout. THIS IS REQUIRED FOR THE MODS TO FUNCTION CORRECTLY.
FLIPPED MODE: MATCH your in game setting. IF YOU DESIRE THIS FEATURE, IT IS REQUIRED THAT YOU ARE FLIPPED BOTH IN MOD CENTRAL AND IN GAME (known in game as "Flip").
DO NOT REMAP YOUR BUTTONS ON YOUR CONSOLE BEYOND THE SUPPORTED IN GAME LAYOUTS.
You can change these settings directly on your device too, in SECONDARY MENU SETUP.
IN GAME > VIBRATION MUST BE SET TO ON FOR HIT DETECTOR DROP. DO NOT DISABLE RUMBLE IN YOUR GAME CONSOLE'S INTERFACE EITHER! If you NEVER use rumble, use Mod Central's top left tile, “Configure Remapping Settings and/or Paddles" to "Disable Rumble" and "Mirror Advanced Settings". This way rumble will be universally disabled in all games WITHOUT affecting mods that require it.
QUICK MODS/CONTROLS include Quick Mods that select various presets, requiring you to HOLD Aim Down Sights (default LEFT TRIGGER), which varies based on button layout. Additionally, we do NOT want you to accidentally enter Mod Menu or Secondary Menu, or activate undesired in game functions, so we encourage HOLDING Aim Down Sights while toggling Quick Mods/Controls, whenever possible, for a seamless experience, OR, use Lock Mode!
ACTIVATION
Select the appropriate GAMEPACK MODE SLOT. HOLD the top LEFT SELECT/PADDLE Button to navigate using EITHER PADDLE to CYCLE through the 8 GAMEPACK MODE SLOTS, represented by LEDs 1-8. You will know that you are in GAMEPACK MODE as identified by the GEAR HEAD EYES FLASHING back and forth. Your device will display the current GAMEPACK SLOT LED.
By DEFAULT, this GamePack is configured for the in game Default button layout. If you are currently using a different in game button layout, and you have NOT already MATCHED this setting in the Mod Central configuration for COD: WWII, then you will FIRST need to enter Secondary Menu and make changes to ensure all mods function as intended.
SECONDARY MENU SETUP
If you are satisfied with using the in game Default button layout, and you have no interest in swapping the triggers for the bumpers, or using the advanced mod, Weapon Swap, then you can safely ignore this entire section and begin at Class 1 & 2 – Weapon Fire.
Otherwise here is a quick reference of Secondary Menu functions:
BUTTON LAYOUT MODE
To check your current in game button layout, from the headquarters, PRESS the OPTIONS/MENU Button to bring up the Menu screen, then use the RIGHT BUMPER to select Settings, then select Controls, and finally, select Button Layout.
SECONDARY MENU Button Layout Mode MUST MATCH your in game button layout selection for the mods to function correctly. Ideally, you will have already done this as the first option within the Mod Central configuration for COD: WWII, in which case NO further action is required and you can move onto the next section.
To MATCH your in game button layout on your device: First, enter Secondary Menu by HOLDING the RIGHT D-Pad for at least 5 seconds, and depending on your platform, a WHITE LIGHTBAR / LED 1 & 2 will be displayed. While continuing to HOLD the RIGHT D-Pad the entire time:
PRESS the CIRCLE/B Button to check your current Button Layout Mode selection - if you are setting up for the first time, it will be DEFAULT layout, represented by a RED LIGHTBAR / WHITE LED flash.
PRESS the OPTIONS/MENU Button to go FORWARD a button layout.
PRESS the SHARE/VIEW Button to go BACKWARD a button layout.
There are 14 layouts, starting with DEFAULT (RED LIGHTBAR / WHITE LED flash). From there onwards, the remaining layouts are represented by 1-13 GREEN flashes, as listed in the table below. YOUR SELECTED BUTTON LAYOUT MODE IS SAVED EVEN IF YOU DISCONNECT YOUR DEVICE.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Alternate stick layouts such as Southpaw, Legacy and Legacy Southpaw are currently NOT supported in this ModPack, and using these stick layouts will cause a few select mods that manipulate the analog sticks to not function as intended.
BUMPERS/TRIGGERS FLIPPED MODE
For Flipped, you MUST MATCH BOTH the IN GAME “Flip” setting and the Flipped Mode on your device. This is REQUIRED to support your "Flip" setting, so that your device will know to place any ADS & Fire mods on the bumpers. Ideally, you will have already done this as the second option within the Mod Central configuration for COD: WWII, in which case NO further action is required and you can move onto the next section.
To MATCH your in game "Flip" on your device: First, enter Secondary Menu by HOLDING the RIGHT D-Pad for at least 5 seconds, and depending on your platform, a WHITE LIGHTBAR / LED 1 & 2 will be displayed. While continuing to HOLD the RIGHT D-Pad the entire time:
PRESS the LEFT BUMPER to toggle ON Flipped Mode. LED 7 will be LIT within Secondary Menu whenever you are in Flipped Mode. YOUR SELECTED FLIPPED MODE SETTING IS SAVED EVEN AFTER YOU DISCONNECT YOUR DEVICE. NOTE: When Flipped, any Press Sensitive trigger features are disabled and accounted for.
WEAPON SWAP
Weapon Swap is an advanced mod that juggles Class 1 & 2 to have 2 different Weapon Fire mods for your primary and secondary weapons. It can also be used to automatically handle having a Weapon Fire mod on ONLY 1 of your 2 weapons.
The most common use of Weapon Swap is when you wish to Rapid Fire your secondary semi-automatic pistol to have the maximum damage per second with that, but NOT your primary fully automatic rifle, because Rapid Fire slows down a fully automatic weapon. Weapon Swap is a powerful mod that is OFF by DEFAULT, and we would like to help you to fully understand it before you consider turning it ON.
If Weapon Swap is OFF (DEFAULT) but Class 1 is currently ON, Class 1 will be used for BOTH your primary and secondary weapons. You may have to rely on the Class 1 Quick Control when switching between weapons: QUICKLY HOLD the RIGHT D-Pad & TAP the RIGHT TRIGGER at the same time to SUSPEND/RESUME your Class 1 Weapon Fire Mod as required. The Class 1 LED will blink when SUSPENDED.
If you wish to use Weapon Swap, ALWAYS toggle it ON while you are using your primary weapon, and you MUST be using a mod on at least Class 1 or 2 to toggle it. Class 2 will automatically toggle ON Weapon Swap for you. To manually toggle ON/OFF Weapon Swap, enter Secondary Menu by HOLDING the RIGHT D-Pad for at least 5 seconds, and depending on your platform, a WHITE LIGHTBAR / LED 1 & 2 will be displayed. While continuing to HOLD the RIGHT D-Pad the entire time, PRESS the TRIANGLE/Y Button to toggle ON Weapon Swap. LED 8 will be LIT within Secondary Menu whenever Weapon Swap is ON.
Once Weapon Swap is ON, Weapon Swap assumes you have switched weapon every time you PRESS the TRIANGLE/Y Button, and switches mods with it. It will automatically track between Class 1/Primary Weapon and Class 2/Secondary Weapon. IMPORTANT NOTE: There is NO display for the Weapon Swap tracking in GAMEPACK MODE, and it will probably be DESYNCED when you first enter gameplay. Please see below to RESYNC:
UNDERSTANDING DESYNC: In COD: WWII, if you die on your secondary weapon, you will respawn on your primary weapon, and Weapon Swap will desync. If you are on your secondary weapon when the game ends, it will desync. If you PRESS the TRIANGLE/Y Button in a menu or loading screen, it will desync. The benefits of Weapon Swap can outweigh this inconvenience if you are willing to manage it, and understanding how and when to resync Weapon Swap, is key to getting the most out of the mod.
RESYNCING Weapon Swap: QUICKLY HOLD the RIGHT D-Pad & TAP the TRIANGLE/Y Button at the same time while using your primary weapon to toggle back to Class 1, using the BRIGHT LED tracker as a reference. NOTE: The key word here is QUICKLY, because if you NOT using Lock Mode, or at least HOLDING Aim Down Sights (default LEFT TRIGGER) to BLOCK menu entry, and you HOLD the RIGHT D-Pad for over 5 seconds, you will end up entering the Secondary Menu and toggling OFF the mod by accident!
MENU MODE NAVIGATION
CLASS 1 & 2 – WEAPON FIRE
When Rapid Fire is ON, HOLDING down the Fire Trigger (default RIGHT TRIGGER) mimics the action of rapidly tapping the fire trigger at a typically faster rate than a player could and as fast as the game allows, offering a huge advantage, and as a result, it can turn any semi-automatic weapon into a fully automatic weapon. Semi-automatic weapons that can benefit include most pistols, shotguns, and virtually anything that would normally only fire a single shot or burst per trigger hold.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Because Rapid Fire mimics rapidly tapping the fire trigger, it will slow down the fire rate of weapons that are already fully automatic, sacrificing damage per second for a possible improvement in accuracy. If Weapon Optimizer is ON, it will ONLY EVER apply Rapid Fire to semi-automatic weapons as designed.
When Burst Fire is ON, EACH PRESS of the Fire Trigger (default RIGHT TRIGGER) mimics the action of controlled and staggered fire trigger presses, focusing on reducing recoil, improving accuracy at range, and conserving ammunition. This mod is best used with weapons that can deal plenty of damage with a short burst of bullets.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Weapons in COD: WWII are organized into selectable burst bundles that load the correct burst timings, BUT if you are using Weapon Optimizer, this will be handled automatically for you, with a fixed 6 bullet burst. Burst Fire can otherwise be used with a 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 bullet burst.
When Burst Fire - Press Sensitive is ON, it is as described above, BUT with advanced features that allow you to adapt to any engagement: For Single Shot, QUICKLY TAP the Fire Trigger (default RIGHT TRIGGER). For Burst Fire, PARTWAY PRESS down the Fire Trigger. For Standard Rate of Fire (no mod), FULLY HOLD down the Fire Trigger.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This section frequently mentions Weapon Optimizer. If Weapon Optimizer is ON, it will ignore and override any mods you select in Class 1. See Class 3 – Weapon Optimizer for details.
CLASS 3 – ADS ANTI-RECOIL + RECORDER / WEAPON OPTIMIZER
When ADS Anti-Recoil is ON, and recorded or adjusted accordingly, your aim will be automatically pulled down upon firing, reducing weapon recoil. NOTE: Anti-Recoil ONLY activates from Aim Down Sights (default LEFT TRIGGER).
When Weapon Optimizer is ON instead, the RECOMMENDED Weapon Fire mod, OPTIMIZED Anti-Recoil, and Fast Reload timing for your chosen 4 preferred weapons, will automatically override Class 1 Weapon Fire. You can switch between all 4 weapon presets, on the fly, with full support for the in game weapon attachments.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Weapon Optimizer is optimized for an in game controller sensitivity range of 4-7. Weapon Optimizer MUST be initially configured in Mod Central (instructions below).
Additional Weapon Optimizer Features:
When selected on a sniper rifle preset, Auto Hold Breath is ALWAYS ON.
When selected on an LMG preset, Bipod Zero Recoil ensures that if you are NOT Holding Aim Down Sights (default LEFT TRIGGER), and you TAP LEFT D-Pad to place/remove an LMG bipod, it will automatically Suspend/Resume Weapon Optimizer.
Weapon Optimizer does NOT natively support Inverted Anti-Recoil, but it can be done through Mod Central's top left tile, “Configure Remapping Settings and/or Paddles”, in which case, under RIGHT "Advanced Settings", you can "Invert Right Stick Y Axis", and finally, "Mirror Advanced Settings" - ALL modes and games will have now an Inverted Right Stick Y Axis, so with this change, you MUST NOT use inverted versions of ANY mods or inverted settings in ANY game.
CLASS 4 – QUICK SCOPE
When Quick Scope is ON, Aim Down Sights (default LEFT TRIGGER) will Quick Scope in your sniper rifle and fire. There are 4 different types of Quick Scope that affect how it is activated.
CLASS 5 – AUTO RUN
When Auto Run is ON, you will no longer need to click in the analog stick button to sprint. You will automatically run at full speed whenever you FULLY move forward.
When Auto Inspect Run is ON, it is as described above, with the addition of it automatically inspecting your weapon. If you run into an opponent mid-Auto Run, the animation time to aim in and fire will be cut short, and you will be able to respond more quickly to the threat.
IMPORTANT NOTES: Auto Inspect mimics the action of holding the TRIANGLE/Y button to inspect your weapon and if you sporadically move the stick around, the game can sometimes unfortunately register this as a tap to switch your weapon.
Auto Inspect relies on exploits currently found in COD: WWII and subsequent game updates may result in decreased functionality or mod removal.
CLASS 6 – SHOT MODE
When Rapid Fire Drop is ON, HOLD the Crouch Button (default CIRCLE/B Button) to drop and fire.
When Auto Drop is ON, TAP the Crouch Button to drop to prone.
When Hip Fire Drop is ON, and provided you are NOT Aiming Down Sights (default LEFT TRIGGER), HOLD the Fire Trigger (default RIGHT TRIGGER) to drop and fire.
When Hip Fire Jump is ON, and provided you are NOT Aiming Down Sights, you will jump each time you fire.
When Hit Detector Drop is ON, and provided you are NOT Aiming Down Sights, Hit Detector Drop attempts to detect the rumbles of when you have been shot and automatically drops to prone as a response.
IMPORTANT NOTES: Hit Detector Drop REQUIRES the in game "Controls > Controller Vibration" setting to be set to "Enabled".
This way rumble will be universally disabled in all games.
CLASS 7 & 8 – PADDLE MODS
When Class 7 is ON, LEFT PADDLE will activate your chosen Paddle Mod.
When Class 8 is ON, RIGHT PADDLE will activate your chosen Paddle Mod.
QUICK MODS
Quick Mods are additional helpful mods that do not belong to a class. You will NOT find these mods in Mod Central as they are NOT saved and only persist as ON for as long as your device is plugged in or selected on this pack. You can turn ON/OFF each Quick Mod via its Quick Mod controller button command.
ADS AIM ASSIST
When ADS Aim Assist is ON, Aiming Down Sights (default LEFT TRIGGER) causes automatic slight analog stick movements, keeping your crosshairs more in line with moving targets. This is a slight assist mostly for when an opponent crosses your crosshairs while you are NOT moving the RIGHT STICK. This mod is NOT comparable to the Aim Abuse mod found in GamePacks like Fortnite.
IMPORTANT NOTES: 1): ADS Aim Assist deactivates while you are aiming yourself to ensure smooth and precise control. 2): Mild camera shake is normal. 3): ADS Aim Assist relies on exploits currently found in COD: WWII and subsequent game updates may result in decreased functionality or mod removal.
AKIMBO WEAPON FIRE (DUAL WIELD)
When Akimbo Weapon Fire is ON, Rapid Fire is additionally assigned to Aim Down Sights (default LEFT TRIGGER), for use with dual wield weapons. If Weapon Swap is also ON, you can swap to Class 2 and also toggle ON Akimbo Weapon Fire for your secondary weapon. NOTE: Class 4 Quick Scope will NOT operate while Akimbo Weapon Fire is assigned.
FAST RELOAD
Fast Reload is ONLY available with Weapon Optimizer. You MUST have configured Weapon Optimizer for your preferred weapons in Mod Central.
When Fast Reload is ON, manually reload BEFORE you reach an empty magazine clip and your reload animation will be cut short, allowing you to quickly resume firing. Fast Reload has three modes, Standard Mode, Hustle Perk Mode (Hustle Perk is found in game under Basic Training), and OFF (DEFAULT).
NOTE: Fast Reload relies on exploits currently found in COD: WWII and subsequent game updates may result in decreased functionality or mod removal.
AUTO BUILD/DEFUSE
When Auto Build/Defuse is ON, TAP the Use Button (default SQUARE/X Button) to build/defuse anything you are in range of. Useful in War Mode and Search & Destroy. Firing always cancels Auto Build/Defuse.
AUTO HOLD BREATH
When Auto Hold Breath is ON, as soon as you scope in your sniper rifle, your breath will be automatically held. NOTE: If you are selected on a Weapon Optimizer sniper rifle preset, Auto Hold Breath will be ALWAYS ON, and you can disregard this Quick Mod toggle.
HAIR TRIGGERS
When Hair Triggers is ON, triggers will always be treated as if they have been fully pressed down the moment they are registered as being pressed. This may not be immediately obvious but it can save you precious milliseconds when you react to enemies.
SHAKE & RELOAD (PS4)
When Shake & Reload is ON, you can flick the controller upwards to reload. This mod takes advantage of the PS4 Sixaxis motion control. It has been optimized to significantly reduce the chance of controller rumble setting off the reload, but you may still have to toggle OFF rumble for some weapons. You MUST hold the controller properly horizontal while Shake & Reload is ON.
TURBO MELEE
When Turbo Melee is ON, you can simply HOLD the Melee Button (default RIGHT STICK Button) to repeatedly melee as fast as the game allows, providing you with the best chance to win melee battles.
OTHER USEFUL CONTROLS
BUTTON TO PADDLE MAPPING
RUMBLE CONTROL
Rumble is ON by default, so Rumble Control actually initially turns rumble OFF (there will be NO indicator for OFF, and a HEAVY rumble indicator for ON). This is useful when you are a rumble user and do not want your controller to vibrate itself off a surface, while stepping away from your console. Rumble Control status will be essentially ignored and overridden if you "Mirror" Mod Central's "Disable Rumble" feature. See below:
NOTE: If you NEVER use rumble, use Mod Central's top left tile, “Configure Remapping Settings and/or Paddles" to "Disable Rumble" and "Mirror Advanced Settings". This way rumble will be universally disabled in all games without affecting mods that require the in game rumble.
LOCK MODE
When Lock Mode is ON, you cannot enter Mod Menu, Secondary Menu, or Master Reset. This is useful if you keep accidentally entering the menu of your device during gameplay, or while toggling Quick Controls/Quick Mods. Most issues are caused by unintentionally changing a setting.
MASTER RESET
To MASTER RESET everything to Default, HOLD the DOWN D-Pad for at least 5 seconds and when you see GREEN flashes, PRESS the OPTIONS/MENU Button, and you will feel a HEAVY rumble to indicate the reset.
